The Design Files' Open House Media Launch

One of my favourite events is on for the year: The Design Files' Open House. If you don't know what I'm talking about, interior blogger extraordinaire Lucy Feagins is the founder and editor of  The Design Files, Australia's most popular interiors blog. I've long since loved her work and vision, and wrote an article in The Age about her here.  Every year, she takes over a house - this year it's in Melbourne and Sydney both - and she gets rid of all the interiors, then re-styles it using things she has sourced and hand-picked. But here's what makes it such a successful event, with 1000 people pouring into the house every day: every single item - bathroom towels, artwork, couches, lamps, kitchen crockery and cookbooks - is for sale. Lucy was also able to showcase her collaboration with Dulux by inserting painted panels into the home. In Melbourne, it's on through until the end of the weekend, so hurry. Here's a peek at the media launch, which was far less hectic. (I've been to the open house days, and it's madness, in a fabulous way.)
