Viva by Paspaley pearls Launch

Sunset cocktail party? Stokehouse restaurant? Melbourne's social set? And the reveal by Paspaley pearls of one of its most vibrant collections, Viva? Sure, I'll be there. Featuring blue topaz, mandarin garnets, smoky quartz and Paspaley pearls, the collection had hearts collectively beating in the room - the women who wanted them, the men who sweated about paying for them. (I'm not suggesting some of these women couldn't pay for them themselves. They can and many have.)
Ben Grayson at the piano, Veuve Clicquot at the ready - it was a night to remember. Milliner Richard Nylon arrived donning what looked like an elaborate, pearl-embellished swimming cap (inspired, he said, by St Kilda beach at the fore), and many women lined up to be in a photo with him. But the real stars of the night were the pearls - out-dazzling the guest list of luminaries by far.
