Rue & Co.

The invitation came with embossed lettering on stiff cardboard: in the days of e-vites, you knew this was a serious one. But Rue & Co. aren't planning on doing anything by halves. The new "street-style dining destination" (read: pop-up eateries in an outdoors bustling city space) features some of Melbourne's best: Jimmy Grants, Kong and St Ali, all underneath the largest street artwork in Australia by RONE, and digital installation by Joel Zika. It was a cold night in Melbourne, but not for long: guests huddled together in a tight group, and the food was beyond spectacular. There were plenty of guests to notice, too: Chyka Keebaugh, Kookai's Danielle Vagner, Mimi and Arthur Galan, Em Rusciano, to name a few.  It's open seven days a week at 80 Collins St. (Photos by Lucas Dawson)
